FULL-TIME CAREER OPPORTUNITY

JUNIOR MERCHANDISER & OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Focus: Ownership of daily operations, inventory & merchandising strategy, and eCommerce/CRM data analysis. We are looking for a driven, capable individual who is ready to thrive in an exciting and dynamic workplace environment.

ABOUT US

Sans Matin is a UK & US-based high-end footwear brand redefining comfort and style. Founded by cousins Charly and Lockie Cunningham in 2020, the brand was born from a simple goal: to provide luxury, everyday shoes that combine chic, timeless design with unparalleled comfort.

Since launching in 2020, we've grown a loyal customer base who value high-quality materials, understated elegance, and ethically and sustainably made products that don't compromise on comfort. Our manufacturing methods, triple-cushioned footbeds, natural rubber outsoles, and soft, luxurious leathers have become the foundation of why over 40,000 customers live in comfort & style in SM shoes.

Every detail of our brand — from product design to customer touchpoints to our 1% charitable promise — reflects our commitment to doing things differently.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded operator to play a pivotal role in a fast-growing, founder-led brand. You’ll take ownership of daily operations and play a critical role in linking our logistics, inventory, and customer experience functions. You will also play a critical role in understanding and impacting our product mix, seasonality and product demand.

Whether it’s managing suppliers and purchase orders, analysing size curves and product mix, or spotting opportunities in what our customers want — you’ll be hands-on and always thinking two steps ahead.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving problems, working cross-functionally, and seeing how operational excellence can directly shape customer happiness and business growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operational Ownership & Execution
  • Own and continuously improve all aspects of daily operations — from fulfilment flows to managing customer service personnel.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies or potential issues, taking a solutions-first approach to improve speed, accuracy, and service.
  • Liaise with 3PL partners to ensure seamless warehousing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Build and manage purchase orders across suppliers, ensuring accurate SKUs, costs, timelines, and quantities.
  • Anticipate shipping complexities — particularly around import/export — and take initiative to plan for seasonal, cross-border, or volume-related challenges.

2. Inventory & Merchandising Management

  • Track stock levels, sell-through, and size curve data to inform production and purchasing.
  • Maintain seasonal calendars and update SKU-level product data across internal and sales platforms.
  • Lead replenishment planning and production tracking based on sales velocity and trends.
  • Contribute strategically to merchandising by analysing customer type, price architecture, and product mix — helping ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.
  • Spot emerging opportunities in product performance, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Ensure pre-order timeframes and quantities remain up to date.

3. Data Reporting & Analytics

  • Build and maintain dashboards for operational KPIs such as return rates, inventory velocity, and WOS.
  • Produce weekly reports on SKU performance, fulfilment quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Work with founders and the Finance Director to uncover cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency.

4. eCommerce & CRM Data Support

  • Support data and reporting across marketing channels including Email, SMS, Meta, Google, and Pinterest.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align product, inventory, and campaign planning — streamlining execution and driving ROI.
  • Analyse customer purchasing behaviour across product, order number, and journey stage to help guide product development and retention strategies.

5. Cross-Team & Commercial Support

  • Support wholesale and B2B operations when needed (line sheets, fulfilment, order tracking).
  • Help onboard and manage systems across CRM, returns, inventory, and analytics.
  • Contribute to company-wide projects, always connecting your work back to commercial goals — improving margin, boosting growth, and strengthening the customer experience.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

Brand Fit & Passion

  • You’re excited by what Sans Matin stands for — a brand doing things differently, with style and substance.
  • You care about ethical fashion, quality craftsmanship, and the finer details that elevate a brand.
  • You love solving problems in a way that keeps customers at the heart of every decision.

Proactivity & Ownership

  • You don’t wait to be told — you take initiative and pride in making things better.
  • You enjoy taking full ownership of tasks and driving them to completion.
  • You ask why, challenge assumptions, and look for smarter ways of working.

Commercial Thinking

  • You understand how operations impact growth, margins, and the bottom line.
  • You bring both a practical mindset and a strategic lens to everyday decisions.
  • You’re data-literate and know how to connect numbers to actionable insights.

Collaboration & Communication

  • You’re a strong communicator and collaborator — able to work across teams and suppliers.
  • You thrive in a fast-moving, founder-led business and enjoy the variety that comes with it.
  • You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and pitch in when needed.

Attention to Detail

  • You care about accuracy, consistency, and doing things properly.
  • Whether it’s a spreadsheet, a supplier timeline, or a customer delivery, you notice the little things that others miss.
